The comprehensive wayfinding and placemaking strategy complements the architectural confidence of 1 Martin Place while serving to engage staff and seamlessly connect the spaces seven floors. Signage elements are brought to life with the same visual language that tie in with the central staircase. The result is intuitive, warm, human – even surprising – such as the flashing neon displays and a large scale digital clock that serve as standout examples of typographic form integrated into the space.

Our brief was to raise awareness of the brand. Moving away from predictable solutions such as billboards, we went for something large-scale, to stand out and create talking points. We designed branded structures that would translate Goodman’s brand values in an abstract rather than literal way.

All of the installations are modular, designed for re-use and transportation; and to work across languages and borders, crucial to this international company.

Gun violence in America continues to be a global debate as communities all over the world demand change from a world superpower whose Constitution’s Second Amendment defends the people’s right to bear arms. Vince Frost’s approach takes child-like language- ‘Bang Bang’ – satirized by the concept of game-playing and pairs this with bold typography.
