The art of copywriting

Mytton Williams

Mytton Williams have produced a beautiful and clever set of posters for Ink Copywriters. Using Indian ink and a variety of tools they submerged, brushed, splattered, absorbed and dragged ink across the canvas, illustrating a selection of words through mark making that express a few of the client’s many different tones of voice.

Sports Series

Malika Favre

Malika Favre is a French artist based in London. Her bold, graphic illustration style cleverly uses positive and negative space as well as light to create depth and intrigue. Her Sports series is now available for purchase at her online store.

Who Gives A Crap is an eco-friendly toilet paper company that donates 50% of it’s profits to help build toilets for those in need. It was launched in 2012 and has already donated over $428,500 to help fund sanitation projects in developing countries.

For Christmas this year they commissioned a range from the Jacky Winter Group, with 12 Australian artists contributing designs. The results are a burst of colour and fun in an otherwise crappy category (zing!). Great name, great cause, great design.

Agatha Christie stamps

Studio Sutherl& Neil Webb

Royal Mail have released a set of six commemorative stamps to mark the centenary of Agatha Christie writing her first detective story. The stamps, designed by Studio Sutherl& and illustrated by Neil Webb, depict a complex plot in one single frame, together with hidden clues only revealed with UV light, heat, in negative space or by using a magnifying glass.
